Cruise description

This cruise was a success from beginning to end, despite a few patches of rough weather. All stations were visited, all casts performed, and the mooring work was completed without any mishaps.
We deployed an Argo float for the University of Washington (UW), and we managed to recover another UW float that had been deployed in February 2012 but wasn't functioning anymore. We also deployed two MetOcean floats for DFO/Institute of Ocean Sciences as well as three weather data drifting buoys for Environment Canada.
The regular sampling done during this cruise was completed using a CTD, a Rosette, and a Bongo. Two 250-m bongo casts were done at each major station - one for DFO/IOS and one for the University of Rhode Island. We also used a Multiple Plankton Sampler (MPS) to collect zooplankton to 2000 dbar at 4 stations (1250 dbar at P4). Finally the Trace Metal sampling was done using a clean pump and University of Victoria's Go-flo bottles.
